Why do we get wrinkles?

also increase the evidence of wrinkles.

Use of the facial muscles creases the skin when we frown, smile or raise our
eyebrows. As we get older, these creases become deeper and more pronounced
through constant use.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Facial wrinkles and lines are caused by unwanted constant contractions of the
underlying muscles.

What are Anti-Wrinkle Injections?

These are naturally occurring proteins, which are injected into the area where you
have wrinkles. This has a relaxing effect on the contracting muscles, so the lines and
wrinkles disappear.

Wrinkle relaxing injections can be used to relax certain facial muscles. This means
that the overlying skin stays smoother and creases gradually diminish. The result is a
more youthful look. It is quite a comfortable procedure as very fine needles are
used and only a small amount of the injection is administered.

Treatment is not permanent and lasts on average for 3-4 months.

Dermal Fillers

These can be used to plump out the facial lines and increase the hydration and
volume of the skin. They are used particularly to soften the lines around the
mouth and chin area and enhance the shape and volume of the lips. These types
of fillers are naturally biodegradable and are therefore non-permanent.

Fillers usually require the area to be numbed up with a local anaesthetic prior to the
procedure.

The treatment is quick and convenient (usually taking between 15 and 30 minutes
with results experienced instantly) and won’t affect your facial expressions.

The effect lasts between 6 to 9 months.

Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) Treatment

Sweating is a normal, natural bodily function which helps regulate body temperature.
For some people, excessive sweating, causing unsightly damp patches can be very
embarrassing. Anti-Wrinkle injections is an extremely effective treatment for
excessive sweating in the under arm area, palms, face or scalp.

It works by blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat
glands. When the sweat glands don’t receive chemical signals, the severe sweating
stops. It will therefore temporarily stop the production of sweat.

One treatment will generally last between 6 - 9 months. Once the treatment wears off
it can be repeated as often as is necessary.
